The husband and me were walking down Park Street discussing our dinner plans when two passer-by’s overheard us and gave us a quick guide on where to eat and what on our trip to Kolkata. We played along (pretending it’s our first trip to Kolkata) and they were like , since you have already done Flurys , have Chelo kebabs and sizzlers @petercatcalcutta ( well this was our plan exactly for that evening and the locals nailed it ) . Anyway as we started walking towards another lane, another passer-by came running ( he must have overheard our conversation) and said ‘PeterCat’ is next to Flurys in that lane ( he pointed out) ….well that’s kolkata for you, where ‘food’ is passion and you can strike a conversation with any stranger if it’s about, ‘food’ and that’s why we love to ring in the New year in this city.

And of course we loved the whole vibe and our dinner at Peter Cat that evening.
P.S The long ques to get in may scare you but go for it , it’s worth the wait .
