<p>Cipladine Powder 10gm belongs to the class of medications called <i>antiseptic and disinfectant</i> primarily used to treat and prevent skin infections in minor burns, lacerations (deep cut in the skin), cuts, and abrasions (the first layer of skin is scraped off). It also helps to treat infections of the lining of the mouth and throat, such as gingivitis (inflammation of the gums) and mouth ulcers. Cipladine Powder 10gm is also used in infection control during insertion and care of urinary catheters, circumcision (removal of the foreskin from the human penis), suture removal and dressing changes.&nbsp;</p><p>Cipladine Powder 10gm works by inhibiting the growth of infection-causing microbes. As a small molecule, iodine in Cipladine Powder 10gm can easily penetrate microorganisms and oxidizes essential proteins, nucleotides, and fatty acids, leading to cell death. Cipladine Powder 10gm is effective against bacteria (Gram-positive and Gram-negative, including antibiotic-resistant and antiseptic-resistant strains), fungi, viruses, and protozoa.
