Gulab Jamun, this is my most favorite dessert. And I'm very particular about this dish. I always like it to be soft on bite and the chasni to be little thin and not very sweet. This one got 11/10 on each of my personal criteria. They were made in khoya and were super soft, were well fluffed, the chasni wasn't much thick and rightly sweet & the khoya balls were soaked well. For me it was love at first sight due to it's flawless texture & color.
Kalakand, a classic Indian dessert that's enjoyed by all age groups. Eat this mithai without keeping an expectation of it being like a store bought one. This doesn't mean it wasn't good, by this I meant the taste wasn't commercialized. It had a homely touch. Again super soft, perfect sweet, creamy & rich.
Rosogulla, I'm not at all a fan of Rosogulla but I enjoy other Bengali mithai. And these were definitely an exception for that disliking 😅 This one was extremely spongy, moist and had perfect juicy texture. It was made in homemade cheena. This pure white and light dessert is addictive and super tempting.
