At the heart of being a Bangalorean is embracing the world that becomes a part of this city’s fabric. Nothing is as iconic and reminiscent of this way the city accepts you as the Namma Bengaluru Egg Puff at Roxie.

An ode to the timeless egg puff that every bakery in the city proudly serves, but was born from Thirumalachar from Hassan learning the trade from an English gentleman and crafting the quintessential puff with onion masala, hard-boiled eggs, coriander oil and chilli dust wrapped in a buttery, flaky pastry.

All of us have had that one Uncle who visits with the sweetest treats during the holidays and for me, that was my dear Uncle Roberto from Lisbon. The pastel de nata he would bring with him was always a favourite amongst all of us siblings.

In his memory, I craft the classic dessert with orange vanilla custard topped with berries, baked on a buttery puff pastry as a Puffizza that is sweet with a hint of salty for a delicious, evergreen snack!
