After discovering @bluetokaicoffee x @fratelliwines Barrel Aged Coffee at Mumbai Coffee Festival, I couldn’t resist picking up the limited-edition three-pack for myself.
Brewed as a pour-over, the wine-like notes truly shine in the cup. The standout for me was J’Noon White, with its sparkling wine character, juicy stone fruits, and a hint of raspberry—an exquisite flavour profile. ✨
Here’s the recipe I used to bring out its best:
Coffee: 18g
Grind size: Medium (like sand)
Water: 300ml at 92°C (three pour 50 - 125 - 125)
Brew time: 3:00 minutes (bloom for 45 seconds with 50ml, then pour in steady circles)
The result? A vibrant and aromatic brew that captures the essence of wine barrel aging.

We’re brewing a celebration with our 12th Birthday Blend, and we can’t wait for you to join in! ?
An ode to collective craftsmanship, this blend features coffee grown and picked by communities of smallholder farmers in Araku Valley and Sirangalli village, Kodagu, and the dedicated team at Salawara Estate, Chikmagalur.
Highlighting a diversity of processing techniques, including the natural, washed, and honey sun-dried methods, this blend makes for a balanced cup with notes of blueberries, tangerine, and milk chocolate. ? ?

P.S. On our 12th birthday, we’re raising our cups to the spirit of collective craftsmanship that has always been at the heart of what we do, and to the many diverse communities that have come together to make us who we are.

Before we turn 12 tomorrow, we’re looking back at our favourite highlights from 2024!
10. Setting up @imfroasters air roasters at our roasteries in Gurugram and Mumbai, with a third coming soon in Bangalore, boosting efficiency for all coffees we roast, and bringing greater precision to our rare, experimental coffees
9. Opening our café in Hiroo, Tokyo, marking our first in the country that gave the world the Pour Over method ✨
8. Brewing for you at our first airport cafés, open in Terminals 1 and 3 at Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi ✈️
7. Launching our specialty coffee capsules that are 100% recyclable, and compatible with a wide range of capsule machines ♻️
6. Working with our friends at @fratelliwines to showcase the fusion of two remarkable journeys: grape varietals grown in Akluj, one of India’s landmark wine regions, and Arabica beans from Chikmagalur, the birthplace of Indian coffee ?
5. Brewing for the faculty and students from @ashokauniv in our first ever university café ?
4. Witnessing Vanmaya FPO, a women-run farmer producer organisation from Araku Valley set up their own wet mill, a facility that helps them not only produce but also process their coffee ??

December was a month of reconnections and new friendships in our spaces.?✨
We returned to two of our favourite venues, @magneticfieldsfestival and @comicconindia, and brewed for the first time at @royalenfieldsocialmission, @godrejdesignlab and @ktownfestival.
The @healthustleclub run club marked their milestones over fresh brews, while old friends from @mica_schoolofideas Ahmedabad came together for their alumni meet at one of our cafés. Strangers became friends in pottery and acrylic painting workshops led by @flawsomeberry_ceramics and @art_abode_experiences ?
Coffee lovers explored more about their favourite drink through roastery tours and hands-on brewing and cupping workshops. ☕️
We’re really glad to have been part of it all, and as the year comes to a close, we’d love to hear about the events you’d want for us to host next year. DM us your requests, and we’ll get to work! ??
