Plain paratha is a type of Indian flatbread made from whole wheat flour. The dough is prepared by mixing wheat flour, water and a pinch of salt until it forms a smooth and pliable consistency. Small balls of the dough are then rolled out into thin circles and brushed with ghee [clarified butter] or oil. These circles are then folded multiple times to form a triangular shape and rolled out again into flatbreads.
